My new comic Boxkid vs. the Ocean is finally ready! I've finished two chapters, and they are available to read right now here on Newgrounds.

This comic is sort of my escape from the perfectionism that held back so many of my projects in the past, so I'm happy that this project is finally officially public. Hope you enjoy!

I'm happy to announce that the first two chapters of Boxkid vs. the Ocean are finally complete! Prologue and Chapter 1 will be releasing on January 25th.

The comic will be going up at the same time on Newgrounds and Boxkid.net. The experience should be the same either way, so I expect most people to use the Newgrounds version. Website is there for me to feel like I have control over my own work, as well as it being easy to share with people who aren't familiar with Newgrounds.

Anyways, the plan is for it to be up at 9am PST. I can't wait for people to see this! It might not look like it took a lot of work, but trust me, these two chapters have proven to be a lot of work. See ya then!

Hello! I haven't been very active here in a while, but that doesn't mean I'm not working on stuff. I'm always making things, and sometimes, I manage to get far enough into a project to comfortably show it to the world. And so, for over a year, I've been working to start a new comic series! It might appear underwhelming for the amount of time I've spent on it, but the truth is that a majority of that time was spent purely on thinking about it. Also art is hard. I really love the ideas I have though, so I'll try my best to present them in a way people can enjoy.

The series is called Boxkid vs. the Ocean

I've had a lot of fun working on this, so I hope to soon welcome all of you to the world of Boxkid. The plan is to release Chapter 1 in January. It will be available to read for free here on Newgrounds, and on the official website, boxkid.net.

As someone who got very used to digital illustration, it's been really refreshing to revisit my roots. Doodling with pens and pencils. The story takes place in the far future and it's about ??? It's about a lot of stuff but mostly it's about Boxkid. And look at him. Isn't he kinda awesome?

I could talk about this forever, but I think I should keep this post short. If you're interested in reading, the best thing you can do is follow me here on Newgrounds. I'll be making a post like this when the first Chapter comes out. (It's actually going to be two chapters but the first is a prologue that will not be a numbered chapter) The next best thing you can do is follow the official account on bluesky. I don't always post my doodles and stuff here because I like to hold my Newgrounds up to a certain standard. Well I gave up so I posted some stuff I think I only had on twitter.

So what have I been up to? Idk mostly just failing at getting an education over and over. Not much animation either. On the bright side though, I still draw plenty for myself. I plan on making a webcomic too. If all goes to plan, it's still going to be months away. Still, you can expect me to be posting it here on Newgrounds as the new multi-image posts should be a thing by then. See you later!

So I'm just gonna say that I don't think I'll be done with my next animation until sometime next year. This is because it kind of isn't a huge priority in my life right now. I am once again actively hanging out on Newgrounds and stuff, I'm just not making things. So, I thought I might just leave this image here. It's a little character drawing that I was using to make a 3d model. Hopefully you'll see this fella in the next animation

Okay so it's been over a year since I did one of these news post things on here. After I got busy with other life stuff, I fell out of my Newgrounds addiction pretty hard. I used to go onto the portal like everyday to vote on stuff, but now I only take a quick browse once a month or something. I've been telling people lately to hop over to Newgrounds after the twitter kerfuffle, so I've been inspired to put my money where my mouth is. Its time for me to relapse and get back on the Newgrounds dripfeed!

If you want to help out, send me your favorite movies and such from the past few months. I'd appreciate seeing some of the cool stuff I've missed out on! Hopefully I can get around to makin some more cool stuff too

Earlier this week I found out that I tied for 6th place overall in the Summer Animation Jams! I was too busy to make a news post about this at the time, and at this point, I don't really feel the need to make a long post. I'm so happy to have participated. I've been exposed to so many talented people throughout each round and I'm honored to be ranked among them. Thank you to everyone who liked my stuff because you guys are the reason I tried to participate in every round. :)

I didn't manage to finish my entry for the last round of the animation jams, so I made a poster for the movie I came up with.

I'm sad I couldn't finish the project, but its not too bad because I can make it into a full video later on if I want. I've always tried to prioritize my life responsibilities over my personal projects, so there wasn't a high probability I would finish this with school starting. Still, I'm glad to have participated in the jams when I had the chance.

If you're wondering what's next from me, you don't have to wait too long. I animated a scene for wesmakowski's Toy Story 2 Redialed, which is planed to release on Halloween. There's a lot of cool stuff in this collab so you don't want to miss it.

Thank you to everyone following me! I feel like I haven't quite earned it because I know most of you are following for the animation jam stuff, but its still cool to see that number on my profile. I'm still going to be making more animations after the jams end, so look forward to that.

I'm sad to say that I won't be making an animation for round 3 of the summer animation jams. Progress was moving somewhat smoothly but I got too busy with some other stuff in life. The only way for me to finish my animation in time is to unhealthily push myself, so I'm making the call to cancel my project. Thank you to everyone who has recently followed me, I still intend to participate in round 4 so there’s more to look forward to.

And now with the sad news out of the way, go play Ashbelt. This is probably the Newgrounds game I've spent the most time playing. I played during a bunch of my classes earlier this year and it's great. My animation was going to be a fun little tribute to this game, so I thought I would mention it in case anyone was curious about what I was working on. I was actually on the leaderboard for like a day when people weren’t good at it yet.
